She has 12 years of classical violin training and 4 years of operatic vocal instruction, and she has performed with numerous orchestras, chamber ensembles, choirs, and bands in the US and the UK, including the renowned Schola Cantorum of Oxford. She is an active actress on both stage and screen, and her recent credits include Cinderella in "Into the Woods," Marcy Park/William Barfee/Olive's Mom in "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," Puck/Helena in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and the title role in "Hamlet."

Olivia has previously worked as a software engineer and an international journalist (read about some of her recent experiences here) and she is the founder of Linguists Without Borders, an organization dedicated to the community-driven documentation of endangered languages. You can occasionally hear her on classical WCRB 99.5, where she serves as a fill-in host. She is conversationally proficient in German, French, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, and Hindi/Urdu, and she is currently studying Spanish and Arabic. A product of parochial schooling, she also frequently sings in Latin. She would be happy to tailor her performance to your linguistic needs.
